π·Jobs
Jobs are the main source of income on Vulengate. There are currently a total of 7 jobs to choose from.
Jobs pay players automatically for doing certain actions depending on the job they're in. Players can join two different jobs when they first join, though this number can be increased through ranks, eventually allowing players to join and get income from all seven jobs at once. Players can level up their stats in each job by doing the various tasks that give payment. For each job level, the amount of income gained from doing its tasks is increased by 0.1%, eventually capping at level 200. A special tag for each job is also given at level 200 to commemorate maxing the job stats.
There are currently five players who have reached level 200 in all seven jobs on a respective realm.
Job Types

The Miner job is centered around mining stone, ores, and smelting, actions most players will be passively doing during their playtime. Miner is the simplest and most popular of the seven jobs. It's extremely useful as an early game job and is arguably the best job on the server for making large amounts of money quickly in the end game.
As of May 2024, there are 74,078 players working in the Miner job. 169 players are at or above level 200, while 17 players are at or above level 300.
For the full list of payments, in-depth info, and job grinding methods, see Miner.

The Hunter job is centered around killing hostile and passive mobs, another activity the majority of players will be passively doing. Though not as lucrative as Miner, it can still be a helpful job to have for a consistent source of passive income. Certain mob grinding set-ups can make it a viable long term job for the end game, though most of the optimal grinding setups will require summoning Minecraft bosses and thus pre-planning is needed.
As of May 2024, there are 36,130 players working in the Hunter job. 60 players are at or above level 200, with 3 players at or above level 300.
For the full list of payments, in-depth info, and job grinding methods, see Hunter.

The Woodcutter job is centered around chopping down trees and clearing leaves. It can be useful as an early game job due to the amount of wood players gather early on for building and chest supplies. Optimal set-ups for making money with this job require hours of preparation, though it can be a viable source of income.
As of May 2024, there are 35,464 players working in the Woodcutter job. 15 players are at or above level 200, with 0 players at or above level 300.
For the full list of payments, in-depth info, and job grinding methods, see Woodcutter.

The Angler job is centered around catching fish. It's one of the best jobs for new players as the entry requirements for it are almost non-existent, just requiring a fishing rod to begin working. Upgrades such as a crate rod and higher fishing mcMMO can help high level Anglers make tons of money very quickly. Competing in Fishing Contests is an optimal grinding set-up for this job due to the wide range of high paying fishes that appear, and the removal of all the low paying βjunkβ items for the duration of the contest.
As of May 2024, there are 22,765 players working in the Angler job. 48 players are at or above level 200, with 2 players at or above level 300.
For the full list of payments, in-depth info, and job grinding methods, see Angler.

The Excavator job is centered around terraforming landmasses, dealing with common surface layer terrain blocks such as sand, clay, grass, terracotta, etc. Often times it's used as a form of passive income while gathering materials like sand that are in high demand.
As of May 2024, there are 20,570 players working in the Excavator job. 11 players are at or above level 200, with 0 players at or above level 300.
For the full list of payments, in-depth info, and job grinding methods, see Excavator.

The Farmer job is centered around harvesting crops, picking flowers and tending to animals. It can be extremely useful as an early game job due to the availability of large public farms at Player Warps, and even into the late game can be an exceptional money making method with the right farm set-up.
As of May 2024, there are 20,166 players working in the Farmer job. 32 players are at or above level 200, with 1 player at or above level 300.
For the full list of payments, in-depth info, and job grinding methods, see Farmer.

The Enchanter job is centered around enchanting items. This job is the only job that is entirely menu-based. It is arguably the best job for creating a consistent source of income, on par and even surpassing the likes of Miner job, though the entry requirements for grinding it is much higher than other jobs. Its reliance on needing a large amount of materials to enchant and access to an efficient experience farm make it extremely difficult to grind effectively.
As of May 2024, there are 2,798 players working in the Enchanter job. 25 players are at or above level 200, with 1 player at or above level 300.
For the full list of payments, in-depth info, and job grinding methods, see Enchanter.
Removed Jobs
Brewer
The Brewer job was centered around brewing potions. Players would add potion ingredients into brewing stands and receive payment depending on the item inserted. This action of adding items into the brewing stands could be automated through the use of hoppers and the job was removed after AFK money farm designs became popular.
Smelter
Smelter was a side category of the Miner job that briefly lasted from late Summer 2021 to early Fall of 2021. All payment for mining ores was removed over rising concerns over the ability to place and re-mine ore blocks for income, and smelting raw ores became the only method of getting payment from them. The job was reverted back to its original state after smelter job saw an uprising of AFK money farms once again. Silk touch was adjusted to no longer pay when breaking ores to account for the previous exploit.
